Entry Requirements

Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or relevant disciplines covering studies in programming, computer networks, database and web development.

Academic IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent.

OR alternative entry requirements may be available. Alternative entry may include assessment and approval of prior study, or successful completion of a readiness assessment.

Course Details

A Master of Information Technology will build on your current knowledge to help you create new opportunities and explore different career paths across a range of IT topics. Designed to provide advanced capability using existing and emerging technologies, this course will redefine your IT career. Choose electives that align with your goals in the field of IT, including big data and analytics, user experience design, management of people and teams, cybersecurity and deeper exploration of technical topics like artificial intelligence. This program focuses on the infrastructure aspect of IT, specifically on designing and implementing the technical solutions needed by businesses such as cloud computing.

Structured to align with the guidelines of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), this course focuses on developing advanced information technology skills preparing ICT professionals to better exploit Industry 4.0 technologies. Your studies will review current information technologies and system trends, investigate security issues in an enterprise networking context, explore new application and database development approaches, and understand emerging technologies. You’ll also learn how to deal with risk, interdependent integrations, software updates and software development management.

This course has been co-developed with industry-leading ICT practitioners and academics, and is structured to align with the guidelines of the Australian Computer Society.
