Minimum age of 18 years
Satisfactory completion of an Australian Year 12 or equivalent
Have physical attributes suitable for placement in the individual support industry that encompasses manual handling of equipment and clients (i.e. to assist a client in transferring themselves to and from beds)
IELTS (Academic) overall score of 5.5 or equivalent
Additionally, the learner is required to:
Complete a pre-training review to assess the Language literacy and numeracy (LLN) of students
Provide proof of up-to-date immunisation (inclusive of Covid-19 vaccination record)
Provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance / Australian Federal Police Clearance Certificate (AFP) / NCC
Provide a Working with Children check (WWCC)
Manual Handling Certificate (Offered by AIBT at no additional cost)
This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
100 hours of practical work placement and assessment at a residential/aged care centre is compulsory for each student to complete the qualification.
