Dr. Mehrdad: From PhD to Energy Market Innovation
Dr. Mehrdad, originally from Iran, moved to Adelaide in 2019 for his PhD at Flinders University, where he focused on renewable energy and electricity markets. He was awarded a scholarship that made Adelaide an affordable and comfortable study destination. After completing his PhD in 2022, he began working as an energy market consultant, later transitioning to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) in 2023. His passion lies in advancing sustainable energy systems, and he aspires to take on strategic roles to drive innovation in energy markets and policies.
