Where are you from, and what have you studied and at which institution?
I'm from China, and I completed my Master of Wine Business at The University of Adelaide, which in 2026 will combine with The University of South Australia to become Adelaide University.
What motivated you to choose Adelaide over other Australian cities for your studies?
I was fortunate to receive a scholarship through a partnership with my home university in China, which significantly reduced my tuition fees. This opportunity marked the start of my transformative journey in Adelaide.
Adelaide has always stood out to me as a city with a perfect blend of a high-quality education system, a welcoming community, and a thriving wine industry, making it an ideal destination for my studies.
The support from StudyAdelaide and the University went beyond academics, providing a strong foundation to adapt to a new country and culture. The learning environment here is exceptional. My professors were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive, always willing to offer guidance. My classmates, coming from diverse backgrounds, were equally enthusiastic and driven, creating an inspiring and collaborative atmosphere.
What are some of your favourite things to do in Adelaide?
I enjoy the stunning natural landscapes around the city, hiking in the hills, swimming at the beaches, or simply enjoying the fresh air. Adelaide offers a perfect balance between work and leisure. It’s a place where I can express my creativity and stay active, making it truly my second home.
Beyond my career, I am also a dance instructor, a passion that Adelaide’s diverse and supportive environment has allowed me to pursue.
