Where are you from, and what have you studied and at which institution?
I'm from India, and I graduated with a Master of Information Technology (Enterprise Management) at the University of South Australia, which in 2026 will combine with the University of Adelaide to become Adelaide University.
What motivated you to choose Adelaide over other Australian cities for your studies?
Adelaide is known as the Festival State, offering a wide range of festivals, food events, local community activities, and sports at the iconic Adelaide Oval. Also, for its great quality of life, with a relaxed pace and a more affordable cost of living compared to larger cities. I was also able to get into the course I wanted, which made the decision even easier.
I believed it would also be easier for me to settle in, make friends, and not stress too much about expenses. Compared to other cities, I think Adelaide offers a cozy, relaxed lifestyle, where you don’t have to stress about traffic or affordability.
On top of that, Adelaide offers great trekking spots, beautiful beaches and hills, and a rich wine culture. The city truly offers the best of both worlds, making it an exciting place to live and study. So, alongside my studies, I was also looking forward to exploring different cultures and enjoying a little adventure.
Adelaide is becoming a hub for technology and innovation, with Lot Fourteen leading the way. This initiative brings together entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry experts to work on exciting fields like AI, space technology, and defence. For students, it provides unique opportunities for internships and networking.
