Founded in 1890, Concordia is located in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, just 10 minutes from Adelaide’s city centre and 20 minutes from Adelaide International Airport. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, Concordia believes in the value of an international education and the importance of developing a global mindset. The College has high expectations of our students and offer a challenging and engaging program of learning. Many of the students at Concordia College achieve excellent scores preparing them for entry into top universities both in Australia and overseas.
Concordia’s Senior School academic program builds on the International Baccalaureate Programme offered in the Middle School. Students choose from a broad range of subjects as part of a well-balanced curriculum, which enables them to gain the IB Diploma or the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) on completion of Year 12.
International students at Concordia College are well supported. The College currently has around 20 international students, providing excellent opportunities for language learning and cultural assimilation.
Concordia has an established homestay program. Most of these homes are within easy reach of the College and provide a welcoming and supportive environment.
English as a Second Language (ESL) support is provided as part of the Senior School curriculum. The International Student Coordinator is responsible for the wellbeing and integration of international students. The Principal (or delegate) visits China and Hong Kong each year to meet with parents of current and prospective students.
