Jason Chong is a comic who can headline and MC anywhere. It’s all down to Jason’s quick wit, a cleverness in his comedy and the passion for technology that he brings to it.
Jason knows how to put a show together – Jason has performed in the Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival with Sort of the Rings (2006), Minority Retort (2007), EmotiChong (2008), Why the Bloody Hell Aren’t Ya? (2009), Reel Life (2010) which received an Adelaide Fringe Judges Commendation, Where’s The Remote (2011) nominated for best kids show in the Adelaide Fringe, Jason Chong’s Mum (2012), Stay Puft (2014), Blowhards (2015) and Read The Room (2019). In 2009 Jason was named Adelaide’s Comic of the Year and toured as part of Il Dago in 2010.
Jason has been chosen to support Wayne Brady, Doug Stanhope and Mark Watson during their Australian tours.
Jason’s radio work began in 2005, with three years of presenting NOVA 919’s Nights. He served as a regular correspondent on SAFM’s Breakfast in 2010 and has been a regular guest on ABC Radio Adelaide from 2015. Jason’s television appearances include The Footy Show (Ch 9), Today (Ch 9), The 7pm Project (Ten), The Squiz (SBS), Stand UP @ Bella Union (SBS) and The Mansion (Comedy Channel). From 2011-2013 Jason hosted Festival Fishbowl, a live streaming video chat show during the Adelaide Fringe, showcasing the work of over a hundred comedians. In 2017 it was rebooted as “Fringewatch” and was broadcast on Channel 44.
