COVID-19 testing requirements for travellers from China, Hong Kong and Macau

From 12.01am on Thursday 5 January 2023, travellers arriving in Australia from China, Hong Kong and Macau will need to undertake a COVID-19 test within 48 hours before their scheduled flight and will need to provide evidence of a negative test result before boarding their flight and again on arrival to Australia. This applies to travellers arriving in Australia from China, Hong Kong and Macau, either on a direct flight, or on a flight that has a stopover in another country before landing in Australia.
