Where are you from, and what have you studied and at which institution?

I'm originally from Vietnam, and I completed a Master of Occupational Therapy at Flinders University.

I was very impressed with the industry partnerships the university has with hospitals and community providers, which allow for diverse placement opportunities.

What motivated you to choose Adelaide over other Australian cities for your studies?

When I was researching Master of Occupational Therapy courses, I found that Adelaide has a strong focus on Allied Health, and there are also plenty of job opportunities in this industry.

I also have friends who have been in Adelaide for a while, and they told me about the beautiful scenery, the friendly people, and the relaxed lifestyle. It seemed to suit me perfectly, which is why I decided to make the move.

I was also offered a scholarship to study at Flinders University, which I think is quite rare, as universities don’t often offer scholarships for this course because it is so popular. This was a great incentive for me.

Flinders University also offers lots of services for international students, so I believed I would feel welcome there.

The people in Adelaide are very welcoming and will make you feel at home. Adelaide embraces a culturally diverse environment, which makes you feel welcome when living and studying here.

There are also many job opportunities in Adelaide for international graduates. All workplaces have equal opportunity policies, which means you will not be at a disadvantage when applying for jobs, even if you come from a different background.
