Glen: How Networking and Growth Built TAFE SA Graduate's Career

Glen, from South Africa, graduated with a Certificate IV in Cyber Security from TAFE SA. Now he's working as a Risk and Compliance Officer at UC Invest. Glen credits his success to building a strong network and embracing new challenges. His time as a StudyAdelaide Ambassador helped him step out of his comfort zone and connect with students from around the world.

Where are you from, and what have you studied and at which institution? 

I'm from South Africa, and I completed my Certificate IV in Cyber Security from TAFE SA.

What motivated you to choose Adelaide over other Australian cities for your studies?

Having a law background, I knew that I didn't want to do another formal three-year course. I was looking to broaden my skillset in a reasonable amount of time and to be able to apply those skills practically. TAFE SA was exactly what I had in mind.

What are some of your favourite things to do in Adelaide? 

I love going to the beach. There are also many hiking spots to explore. I enjoy visiting the wine regions, not necessarily to stop and drink but just to drive through, as the landscapes are amazing. And of course, swimming with dolphins is unforgettable.
