University Scholarships in Adelaide 2020

Learn more about university scholarships available at each of the five universities in Adelaide.

There are three state universities in Adelaide - Flinders University, The University of Adelaide and University of South Australia.  There is also one private university - Torrens University. All of the universities offer a range of scholarships for international students. Read below for more information on the scholarships they offer.

Flinders University Scholarships

Go Beyond Scholarships

Flinders University offers a 25% reduction in tuition fees for the first two semesters of selected degree programs for students commencing studies in 2020.  Scholarships are available for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business, Creative Arts, Education, Engineering, Environment, Government, Information Technology, Law, Psychology, Public Health, Science and Social Work.

The University of Adelaide

Established in 1874, the University of Adelaide is Australia’s third oldest university, and the oldest university in South Australia.  The University has an international reputation for academic and research excellence. The University of Adelaide has 13 different scholarship programs open to international students studying in Adelaide.

Global Citizens Scholarship

This scholarship rewards international students commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification who have received academic merit in their studies. Students can receive a reduction between 15% and 30% of the tuition fee.

Global Academic Excellence Scholarship

These scholarships are highly competitive awards that reward commencing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework international students who have demonstrated academic excellence in previous studies. The scholarship offers a reduction of 50% of the tuition fee for the minimum standard full-time duration of your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.  Scholarships are awarded at the time of offer.

Higher Education Scholarship

The Higher Education Scholarships rewards undergraduate and postgraduate international students who have demonstrated their passion for learning and loyalty to Australian education by successfully completing their year 12 high school studies (undergraduate only) or AQF-recognised course or program at an Australian higher education institution, prior to commencing their degree at The University of Adelaide.  Scholarships are awarded at the time of offer.

Family Scholarship

Family members of current or graduated students of can access a 25% tuition fee reduction.  Simply provide an English-translated birth certificate that shows your relationship and receive a 25% tuition fee reduction. Study fulltime and complete your degree within the minimum timeframe, you’ll receive this reduction each year of your degree.

Alumni Scholarship

Receive a 25% tuition fee reduction if you’re completing a second or subsequent degree at The University of Adelaide. Graduates automatically receive the scholarship, and if you study full-time and complete your degree within the minimum timeframe, you’ll receive a 25% tuition fee reduction each year of your degree.  Scholarships are awarded at the time of offer.

University of South Australia

Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship

Recipients will receive a 50% reduction in their student contributions (tuition fees) for up to four years of full-time study (undergraduate or postgraduate degree by coursework). Successful applicants will become a UniSA International Student Ambassador.

International Merit Scholarship

Recipients will receive a 25% reduction in their student contributions (tuition fees) for their first year of study into their chosen program, up to a maximum of two semesters or eight courses.  Students will be automatically be assessed when applying for an eligible undergraduate (Bachelor) or postgraduate (Masters by Coursework) program offered at UniSA.
