Woodcroft College is a co-educational Anglican school, which was founded in 1989. It is situated at Morphett Vale, 25 kms south of the Adelaide CBD near the wine growing areas of McLaren Vale and the beaches of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
It is a vibrant school with a student population of close to 1500. The school grounds are spacious and beautifully landscaped, and the buildings are new and fully air-conditioned.
The school prides itself on its innovative curriculum, with school completion available through either the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Students can specialise in the curriculum areas of science, IT, humanities, languages, hospitality or tourism.
Intensive English is taught on site in a specialised English teaching area and whilst attending the English School, international students interact with those from Australia.
Students are encouraged to be involved in cultural activities and to participate in various sport opportunities. They can gain an insight into the richness and uniqueness of the Australian environment through interstate, outback and overseas trips.
Students from all cultural backgrounds are welcome. The school has an international focus and exchange and longer term international students are welcomed from many countries. Particular links with Italy, Germany, Japan, and China are fostered, as these languages are taught at the school.
Parents send their children to Woodcroft College expecting a balance of care and discipline, and international students are no different. Students from overseas are included as part of the local community and are carefully placed with selected home-stay families.
