BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Getting around Adelaide is easy. With wide, flat streets, you can walk or cycle around the city. And our extensive public transport system will get you wherever you need to be.
Adelaide Metro is Adelaide’s public transport which covers the entire metropolitan region. It includes buses, trains and trams that run from the city out to the inner and outer suburbs.
If you’re a full time student using public transport regularly, you’ll need a concession metroCARD to ride on Adelaide’s buses, trains and trams. The concession MetroCARD will provide you with a discount. Find your nearest metroCARD agent to buy your metroCARD here.
Use your metroCARD, by validating it each time you ride on a bus, train or tram (except the FREE ones).
