Australian higher education 8th in the world

Universities in Australia are some of the most productive, efficient and globally connected in the world, according to a study by Universitas 21.

The international network of research-intensive universities ranks Australia’s higher education 8th in terms of overall performance, ahead of counties like Germany, Japan and the UK.

Grouped in four sections, the research focuses on Resources, Output, Connectivity and Environment, with Australian universities 4th in terms of Connectivity, highlighting strong international networks and collaboration.

Ranking 7th in the world in the area of Output, the report identifies the significant impact of research in Australia and the production of an educated workforce to meet labour needs.
