18th July, 2012 – A beautiful day off from my exams

Hi, everyone. It’s Sandy here and this is my first blog entry.

I woke up this morning and was fascinated by the good weather today. After frequent showers for weeks, here is our sunny day with the blue sky.

As July has arrived, new semester has started as well. This is also the orientation week for uni students. So, welcome to all new students in Adelaide! I’m sure you’ll enjoy your study here as much as I do.

As a Year 12 student, this is my week for trial exams. I’ve been really stressed about it and that’s why I’m going to study with my friends in the city. Luckily for us, we’re having our formal right after the exams. After all, we need to look forward to something exciting to get us through exams, right? (For those who don’t know what a formal is, here is my explanation – Formal is an occasion when Year 12 students get to dress up and have an elegant dinner to honour our last year in secondary education, I’d say. In Hong Kong, we usually call it the ‘graduation dinner’; in the US, they call it the ‘senior prom’.

Anyway, I gotta go. Please stay tuned, and I’ll keep you guys posted for my Formal! :D
